Transforming Moldova’s Education in through Digital Innovation and STEAM Learning

The project, funded by USAID, the Government of Sweden, and UKAid through the Future Technologies Activity (FTA), is planned for the period December 2024 – December 2025. The project aims to bolster Moldova’s educational system by enhancing ICT infrastructure, advancing teachers’ digital skills, and creating innovative, student-centered learning environments.

The project focuses on establishing modern learning spaces, promoting interdisciplinary approaches, and developing digital content that supports workforce readiness, empowering educators and students to succeed in a fast-evolving digital economy.

Project Objectives:

  1. Strengthen Digital Infrastructure in Schools: Ensuring high-speed internet access for an additional 100 schools in Moldova, allowing students to access digital resources and engage in technology-enhanced learning environments.
  2. Enhancing Teacher Digital Competencies: Providing a comprehensive professional development program for at least 2,000 teachers to improve their digital skills and ability to integrate advanced educational technologies, with a focus on integrating STEM, robotics, and interdisciplinary approaches into everyday teaching practices.
  3. Foster Digital Content Development and Student-Centered Learning: Developing and implementing interactive digital content aligned with the national curriculum, fostering a student-centered learning.
