We are pleased to share important news: the enhanced TOEFL iBT Test was launched on January 21^st, 2026! These updates will make the test fairer, faster, and more student-friendly, while continuing to deliver the trusted credibility institutions expect. 

TOEFL iBT remains one of the world’s most widely accepted English-language Test. Enhancements include modernized content, CEFR-aligned scoring (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), and a faster score delivery. Students benefit from a more inclusive, streamlined test-day experience.

Explore in detail what the test covers:

1. Reading – 50 items (30 minutes)
2. Listening – 47 items (29 minutes)
3. Writing – 12 items (23 minutes)
4. Speaking – 11 items (8 minutes)

The overall score will be the average of all four sections, rounded to the nearest half band (if the average of a section is 5.125, the overall score will be 5).

What is the TOEFL iBT Test?

The TOEFL iBT Test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It evaluates how well you combine your reading, listening, writing and speaking skills to perform various academic tasks.

According to Order No. 157 of 20.03.2015, of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova, the TOEFL iBT Test can replace the National Baccalaureate exam if the candidate has acquired a score of 86 points.
