Over 440 children will benefit from the “Life Skills” program, with more teachers trained in this regard

August 18, 2021 – The Foundation for Advancement of Moldova organized a continuous training session for teachers who took on the extra-curricular activities “Life Skills.” This extra-curricular program is implemented in the 10 partner schools of the project “Educational and Psycho-Social Inclusion of Migrant Children.”

The activities within the program are dedicated to the over 440 children from grades V-VII whose parents are abroad, and their goal is to strengthen life skills, including social and interpersonal abilities.

Thus, during the continuous training session, the teachers consolidated their professional skills in organizing and streamlining extra-curricular activities both online and offline, and exchanged views/experiences regarding interactive ways of organizing the extra-curricular activities they developed.

Also, the involved teaching staff discussed the specifics of organizing extra-curricular activities compared to curricular ones and what elements can be integrated into curricular lessons.

The activity was carried out within the project “Educational and Psycho-Social Inclusion of Migrant Children,” implemented by the Foundation for Advancement of Moldova with the financial support of the “Pestalozzi” Children’s Foundation (Switzerland).
