The Future Classroom Center Announces the National Contest “Teacher – Digital Ambassador”

We see how you embrace change and are using digital tools more confidently in the teaching process. Thus, you are closer to your students, with interesting and engaging lessons, and together you are stepping towards a school where we can learn differently. We are delighted to hear that you are combining your passion, the subject you teach, with informational technologies, innovating and diversifying the teaching-learning process like never before. If you are passionate about STEAM subjects, have outstanding professional achievements, and want to become a promoter of digital innovations in education, the Future Classroom Center invites you to aspire to the title of Digital Ambassador.
How? Participate in the National Contest “Teacher – Digital Ambassador”! You need two didactic projects, based on the STEAM approach, for one of the following 7th-grade school subjects: Physics, Informatics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, and English. We will award prizes.
All necessary details and information can be found in the Contest Regulations. You have until February 10, 2021, to submit your application. We wish you success!

Contest Details and Context
Within the National Contest “Teacher – Digital Ambassador,” 25 teachers will be selected, conferred the title of Digital Ambassador, and awarded prizes in the form of digital equipment totaling 8–10 thousand lei each.
The goal of the contest is to promote digital innovations in education and encourage teachers in the gymnasium (middle school) cycle to effectively use digital tools and the STEAM approach in the teaching-learning-evaluation process.
The National Contest “Teacher – Digital Ambassador” is part of the project of the same name, implemented by the “Future Classroom” National Center for Digital Innovations in Education through the Development Foundation of the Republic of Moldova, with the financial support of the Good Governance Department of Soros Foundation Moldova and USAID, Sweden, UK, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
What is the Future Classroom (Clasa Viitorului)?
The Future Classroom is a project for the digital transformation of education, founded at the initiative and with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, USAID, Sweden, UK, through the Moldova Competitiveness Project, Orange Moldova Foundation, through the University Information Center, in partnership with the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) Foundation. The project was launched in 2017 and involves the creation of flexible classrooms in schools where interactive teaching-learning methods are experimented with through digital technologies, as well as the development of the National Center for Digital Innovations in Education which operates alongside the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University, in collaboration with Tiraspol State University. To date, the Future Classroom concept has been implemented in 31 high schools across 21 regions of the country. The Future Classroom’s technological partner is Google.
